Today In History app good for
I use this, almost daily, for a quick history lesson and cool factoids. Simple and smooth. Im surprised no one has written anything about this cool app. I love it.
Love this app! I check it every day. I notice another reviewer said you have to have Wi-Fi to check the factoids/links, but I have not noticed this; seems to work fine on 3G.
I love this app. I read every aspect of it each day. I also read many points that follow from each aspect. It well deserves five stars in my opinion.
This is a cool app. Not only do you learn about the latest events on this day through a few centuries, but the explanations acquaint you with stuff you never heard of, yet wish you had.
The right side tome scale must be treated with care, or you whisk through centuries rather than years at a time.

I like the daily information. I can choose whether to read in more detail or what to read. I look forward to the daily synopsis. Its well worth it if you have an interest in historical events.
Some bad moments
You need wifi or online to be able to get any info/facts. that shouldve been mentioned in the description. I hardly get wifi anywhere so it s kind of a waste for me.
Flashes news one day late !!! Can you imagine ??? Today May 7th, you open the app, and shows what happened on May 6th....cant even get the dates right...Just WONDERBAR...Great job, guys...
I looked up my birthday and all of the people it listed were born on that day, was born on a different day. 1 out of 10, would not pay for.
I will get to the point. Some of the birthdays and events in history were not on my birthday. I check my daughters birthday and found errors there too.
- The date isnt accurate, "Today" is a day behind.
- When you make an account, you get bombarded with ads.
- The side bar has a link that says, "The App will not be updated, click here and download the latest version of Today In History." When you click on the link, it takes you to the outdated lite version of this app.
- When you choose a date, events from a different date are displayed.
- Network error keeps popping up for everything that requires Internet when my wi-fi is working fine. :/
I liked the idea of this app, but was confused with the ads. The first ad popped up saying, "Not a fan of ads? Just turn them off in the settings."
If you go to the settings and push the large button that says "Remove Ads", it generates a little circle that spins for a second before turning into an X. It might as well turned into a middle finger as there are STILL ads popping up all over. Of course, the main menu has a big note saying that this version is no longer being updated and to switch to the free lite version. Why have a pro version if you arent going to support it?
Oh well. Into the "too good to be true" deleted apps file.
